A quieter starting point
Markets attract a lot of confident voices. A beginner can quickly collect vocabulary, charts and opinions without understanding how those pieces fit together. The Trading Courtyard starts somewhere smaller: one concept, one example and one question worth revisiting.
Our current offering is a free, self-study publication. You can read the programme outline, an open lesson and three field notes without signing up. There is no paid programme, trading terminal or external community to unlock.
How the notes are designed
Read with a purpose
Each note sets a narrow learning goal. A lesson about a candle teaches what four prices mean. It does not turn that candle into a signal. A note about orders explains an instruction and its trade-offs; it does not recommend a trade.
Make the assumptions visible
Invented examples are labelled. Costs and execution limitations are discussed where they change the meaning of a calculation. If an exercise leaves something out, it says so.
Leave a useful record
Practice becomes easier to review when you record the observation, your assumption and what you would need to check. The downloadable journal gives you a structure for that record; it does not grade or certify you.
Who is behind the material?
The published notes are original editorial material prepared for The Trading Courtyard. No named instructor, professional qualification or verified trading history has been provided for this release. We do not present fictional people as teachers or imply a record of investment performance.
If named instructors, live teaching or a formal community are introduced later, their scope, availability and verifiable background will be published first.
Our editorial boundaries
- No personalised investment advice, recommendations, broker rankings or trading signals.
- No promises of income, win rates, time-to-profit or protection from loss.
- No customer ratings, testimonials or member counts without genuine supporting evidence.
- Primary educational sources are linked where market mechanics are discussed.
