Trading or investing can cause the loss of some or all capital committed. Leverage, short selling and some complex products can create additional obligations or losses beyond the amount first committed.
1. General education
The Trading Courtyard explains concepts and provides paper exercises. It does not assess your financial situation, objectives or risk tolerance. Nothing on tradingcourtyard.com is a personal recommendation, a signal or an instruction to trade a named asset.
2. No promised outcome
There are no guarantees of returns, income, win rates, learning speed or profitability. Educational progress and investment performance are different things. No student results, backtests, live records or testimonials are presented in this release.
3. Invented examples
All prices, balances, quantities, percentages and outcomes in the exercises are invented. They may omit real transaction costs, execution constraints, taxes, account rules and emotional pressures unless explicitly included. They are not achievable prices, suitable position sizes or evidence of a profitable method.
4. Execution, costs and technology
Quotes can change before an order is handled. Orders may be delayed, partially filled, filled at a different price or remain unfilled. A stop price is not a guaranteed execution price. Gaps, halts, poor liquidity and system failures can make an intended exit unavailable. Fees, spreads, taxes and currency conversion can change an outcome.
A planned-loss calculation is not an absolute cap on loss. The simple cash-share examples do not model every product or jurisdiction.
5. Complex products
Margin, borrowing, short selling, options, futures, CFDs, rolling spot forex and similar instruments can involve product-specific risks, rapid losses and additional payment obligations. This publication does not provide strategies, broker recommendations or signals for those products.
6. Your circumstances
Do not use a learning note as a reason to risk money needed for essential expenses or obligations. For a decision about your own circumstances, seek an appropriately authorised professional and read the relevant product and provider disclosures. Legal protections differ between countries.
The publication does not claim to be a licensed broker, investment adviser, financial institution or regulator-approved school. A primary-source link does not mean a regulator endorses the website.
