1. Scope and contact
This notice explains how information is handled in connection with The Trading Courtyard, its educational material and tradingcourtyard.com. The publication is intended for an English-speaking audience, with the United Kingdom as the current target market. A target market does not establish the location of the business or its servers.
For a question about your information or a privacy-rights request, contact [email protected]. For a question about the lessons or access, contact [email protected]. The publication name is a brand; no registered-company number or physical business address is represented on this website.
2. Information involved
- Website delivery: connection information such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser headers is necessarily handled to deliver and secure the site.
- Privacy choices: first-party storage records your optional-category choices, the notice version and the time of the choice. It does not contain your name, email or telephone number.
- Online enrolment, when enabled: first name, last name, email, international phone number, submission reference, brand, domain, time, document versions and the choices you make.
- Support: if you email us, your sender details, message and relevant correspondence are used to answer the request. Do not include passwords, identity documents, payment-card details or sensitive financial information.
No personal form entries are transmitted by this release while the online services are disabled. Closing and reopening a popup on the same page preserves its values in memory; leaving or reloading clears them.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Information is used to deliver and protect the website, answer a request, manage an enabled registration and respect privacy choices. Depending on the circumstances and where UK data-protection law applies, the grounds may be steps taken at your request or provision of a service, a documented legitimate interest in security and responding to enquiries, or compliance with a legal obligation.
Optional marketing and optional tracking rely on the separate affirmative choices described below where consent is required. We do not rely on accepting the Terms as consent to marketing. We do not use these forms for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects based solely on automated processing.
4. Phone numbers and optional marketing
When enrolment is enabled, a required telephone number is used only for necessary access-related support. It is not an instruction to make marketing calls or send marketing texts. Email updates, telephone marketing and SMS marketing each have their own unchecked option. Refusing them does not prevent registration.
No marketing delivery service is connected in this release. If you later opt in to an active channel, you may withdraw that choice by contacting [email protected] or using the opt-out provided in a message. Necessary responses to an enquiry are separate from marketing.
5. Service providers and disclosure
Relevant recipients are limited to people handling an authorised enquiry and the service providers needed for website delivery, security and email correspondence. If online submission is enabled, a contracted form or CRM processor will receive the corresponding request. Payment processors, brokerages, trading platforms and external learning communities are not part of the current service.
We do not sell form details or put your name, email or phone number into advertising events or page URLs. Where information must be disclosed to meet a legal obligation or protect the service, disclosure should be limited to what is necessary.
This notice does not state an unverified hosting company, data-centre address or exclusive processing country. Processor and international-transfer details relevant to a particular request can be requested at [email protected]; any new collection or transfer arrangement must be disclosed before it is introduced. Where UK rules require safeguards for an overseas transfer, those safeguards must be established for that arrangement.
6. Retention and deletion
| Record | Retention rule |
|---|---|
| First-party privacy preference | Up to 180 days, then a fresh choice is requested. |
| Successful online confirmation reference | Current browser-tab session, with the confirmation view limited to 24 hours. It contains no name, email or phone. |
| Encrypted records in the supplied submission service | 90 days from receipt, if the service is activated. Scheduled cleanup runs on startup and hourly. This service is not active in the current release. |
| In-memory abuse-prevention counters | A 15-minute rate-limit window; expired counters are removed during housekeeping. They use a keyed identifier, not submitted form contents. |
| Email enquiries | Only as long as needed to answer and resolve the request, or to meet an applicable legal obligation. You can request deletion of unnecessary correspondence. |
The submission application does not create backup copies or keep personal-data request logs. We do not publish invented host-log or backup durations. If a provider or active CRM retains additional copies, its retention and deletion arrangements must be identified for that service. A continuing dispute or legal requirement may justify retaining only the relevant record for longer.
7. Cookies and similar storage
Optional analytics and advertising are off by default. No measurement property, advertising account or third-party tracking identifier is configured in this release. Accepting a category alone does not add a provider. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choices; read the Cookie Policy for the actual storage inventory.
8. Your rights
Where applicable, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to particular uses of your data. You can withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. The availability of a particular right depends on the processing and applicable law.
Send a request to [email protected]. We may ask for proportionate information to identify the relevant record without requesting unnecessary sensitive documents. If UK data-protection law applies, you may also raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office. You do not have to contact us first to exercise a complaint right.
9. Security, age and changes
The materials are intended for adults aged 18 or older. Do not submit information about children. Technical measures include HTTPS for deployment, restricted server-side secrets and encrypted submission records when the API is activated. No service can guarantee absolute security.
This notice was updated on 14 October 2026. New products, providers, collection or transfers require a corresponding notice update before the new processing begins.
