This is a learning pathway, rather than a claim that a short course can make you a successful trader. Work through the four areas at your pace. Use the published notes for practice, and treat an unanswered question as a reason to read more.
01 · Market foundations
Know what the words mean.
Begin with the difference between an asset, a quoted price and an instruction to buy or sell. A quote is information; an order is an instruction subject to execution conditions.
- Bid, ask and the difference between them.
- Market orders and limit orders.
- Why a visible price may differ from an eventual fill.
Practice: explain to a study partner why a limit order can remain unfilled even if you intended to buy.
Read: market or limit?02 · Reading a chart
Observation before interpretation.
A chart compresses a sequence of prices. Learn what a single candle includes and, just as importantly, what it leaves out.
- Open, high, low and close.
- The body, upper wick and lower wick.
- Timeframes and the danger of assuming a sequence.
Practice: write three factual observations about the sample candle, then rewrite a prediction as a question.

Make uncertainty visible.
A tidy formula can hide a long list of assumptions. Use invented figures to understand notional exposure, a planned loss and the costs that can change an outcome.
- Capital at risk versus the size of an exposure.
- Position-size arithmetic using hypothetical figures.
- Fees, gaps, slippage and the limits of stop orders.
Practice: repeat a paper calculation after adding an explicit cost assumption. Explain why the result is still not a maximum possible loss.

Keep a record you can learn from.
Separate the quality of a decision from its outcome. Use a journal to record the context, assumption and conditions that would change your view.
- A clear question before an exercise.
- Observations, assumptions and review notes.
- Looking for missing information and hindsight bias.
Practice: complete one journal row for a hypothetical example and review it later without changing the original entry.

The complete sample lesson, three field notes and a journal CSV worksheet are published now. The outline describes a sequence for using these materials; it does not promise an unpublished video library or tutor access.
No live sessions, certificates, signals, paid modules or personal feedback are included. Enrolment is not currently open; all published resources can already be read without it.
Completing these materials does not establish readiness to trade with real money. Examples are hypothetical and education cannot eliminate investment risk.
